Family,

On Monday we had another lesson with Rick and Thomas! We mainly talked about smoking and how we can help him quit before the baptism. He is so determined! It’s so hard though cause he’s trying to quit but his wife won’t quit and she smokes in the house so he is just smelling it all day…but he is so legit! He has gone from 45 cigs a day, to 5!!  (Or so we thought lol) Crazy! I know he can do it by the 5th of April!  Teaching those two has been so inspiring! They just take the gospel head on and accept it. They ask questions with real intent to learn, not to prove wrong. And because they are real, they get answers and their testimonies are growing stronger and stronger!  On Tuesday we had our Zone Conference and everything went great! I’m so glad to have it over with. It took a bit of preparation but everything turned out great! The whole conference was just on the German language and how to study and learn it better. And also at the end we just talked about Christ and Easter. It was great to kinda set the mood for the rest of the week and think about Christ a lot!  Then Wednesday it was way interesting I got to go on a split with a missionary who only has two weeks left! He’s just about to go home and it was awesome just to talk to him about his mission and stuff! We were talking and I asked him what his biggest regret is, and his answer taught me a lesson! He said “I wish I would have allowed my self to have a better attitude.” And idk why that just really struck me! Just to hear a missionary say that that is his #1 regret. A good attitude really does help someone be so much happier. Some missionaries get so absorbed in themselves and their own bad situation and they’re never happy! I’ve noticed that the missionaries who care more about the happiness of others than their own are the happiest missionaries!  On Friday we got to go to Frankfurt for a big meeting with other missionaries and I got to see Ad! I’ll send a pic. It’ll be nice to see him once a month till he goes home though!

Easter was just a really special day for me. The list is too long but I just had a lot of little things happen yesterday that really built my faith on Christ! Yesterday Rick and Thomas showed up to church and before we even said hello Rick goes “I haven’t smoked in 2 days. I quit” LOL we are SO HAPPY. He is the man! He was so chill about it too lol like it wasn’t a big deal. Thank you all for the prayers! Keep praying he certainly needs help to keep going! And yesterday evening we visited  African family and they fed us some FuFu! Some of you probably know what that is, and it was so gross! Lol it was made with like this fish paste and stuff it was bad. But the whole experience was awesome. The family was so loving and idk it was such a loving home I really enjoyed it! I love Easter!

Ps bonus best news of the week: the Feucht elders called me and said that Bruder Mohr called and……HE HAS A TESTIMONY OF JOSPEH SMITH AND THE BOOK OF MORMON. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Seriously one of the happiest moments of my mission! He said “I believed since the first time you guys told me Joseph Smith was a prophet.” OH MAN I am so happy!  They are meeting on Friday to maybe pick a date for baptism. They still gotta move slow but it’s all good!

Life is amazing! My faith in Christ and His forgiveness have effected me a lot this week! I have thought a lot about Him and His love for everybody and it has made my week so much better! I’m so grateful for Him and His love!

I love you all so much! Stay safe and have a wonderful week!

Family,

Omg my body is so beat up.  The other day I was getting in the shower and another elder had already gone before me so the ground was already wet, and as I took a step to get in my knee banged the door SO HARD I thought my kneecap was broken. It just has this weird little purple line in my knee now idk but then that night my companion tossed a grocery bag and it nailed me right underneath my eye and just cut me!  UGH. I look so dumb lol but felt even more dumb. But it’s all good lol life is going so well! This week was another BUSY week just packed with random fun stuff!

On Monday night we met with our investigators Rick and Thomas! Adam actually taught them 2 times, and now I’ve taught them 2 times and Rick is going to be baptized on the 9th of April!! And probably Thomas too but he hasn’t decided!! SO PUMPED! We taught the plan of salvation to them on Monday and it was amazing to see them just accept it! They ate it all up! They were so ready to learn and the spirit was so present as the lesson went on. It was really cool, just like right before the lesson started I didn’t really feel ready, like I couldn’t feel the spirit too much. And it was the coolest experience ever, at the very beginning I simply just said a prayer asking for the spirit and I immediately felt it SO strong and it gave me so much confidence going into the lesson. Idk it’s hard to describe but it was such a great feeling just being reassured that the spirit would be there while we were teaching!

On Wednesday we were just riding a tram train thing idk what they’re called in English but I saw this guy wearing an Ole Miss sweatshirt but we didn’t get a chance to talk on the train. Well he ended up getting off at the same stop and so my companion talked to him and he walked with us for a bit to our church and at the end this brand new sister missionary just invited him to institute that night! We definitely didn’t plan on him coming but sure enough he came! He really loved it! He is originally from Texas, but has lived here for the past 7 years. He is 19 and his name is Adrian. Way sick guy!  Institute is one of my favorite parts of serving here in Nürnberg!  Lots of young spiritual people! My type of crowd lol it is so fun!

On Friday to Saturday we were on our split in Frankfurt! It was a ton of fun! We just talked with everybody and taught some awesome people! We also taught this new investigator at a way nice restaurant with some way yummy schnitzel! Lol but the whole time I just was thinking like my whole mission I just thought that Frankfurt was the city I wanted to serve in and everything. But the whole split I was just missing Nürnberg SO much! I really do love it here. It’s like a whole different country. I am so blessed to serve here and have the opportunity to be as happy as I am!

I have thought a lot lately about Christ lately, and how simply forgiving he was. Forgiveness my whole life has never been something I thought was important or even wanted to do. But forgiveness is so crucial to living a happy life! Holding grudges and hating on people just isn’t something that makes anyone happy! And I think that’s a part of why I’m so happy at this time in my life, is I really don’t think I can say I “hate” anyone for probably the first time ever lol.  And I just feel good! I’m glad that Christ is the perfect example of forgiving and is always a reminder that I need to forgive too!

Well that’s it from me! Congrats Will and Paris! I love you guys so much! I hope everything went according to plan and everything turned out perfect! I only saw like 5 pics so everyone keep on sending pics!!

I love you all! Pray for me!

First Week in Nürnberg

Family,

What a busy week lol. So much to do and just like never enough time.  But I am really happy hear it is great I’m loving life!  So last Tuesday I took the 20 minute train ride with my suitcases and then went and said bye to Ad at the train station :( then we came home and had to help a few other elders and sisters get situated. So we had like an hour where we could just go do some finding. We went to this one apartment building and picked a floor and just doored the whole floor. Like 3 out of 30 doors answered and it was kinda sad lol, but on the very last one before we had to go, we knocked on this one door and this guy opened up and he was so sick! His name is Tobias. We taught him on the doorstep lol it was so cool!  He had some good questions and gladly took the Book of Mormon. I’m pumped to see if that goes anywhere.

Wednesday we met up with a referral from missionaries in the Netherlands. His name is Vinnay and he’s Indian. He was in the Netherlands for vacation and some missionaries contacted him up there.  He was so sick it was awesome to teach him. We just taught the first lesson and he just accepted everything with very few questions. He was really curious and really honest. So cool! I’m really excited to continue meeting with him.  On Saturday we went to a place in the zone called Ansbach and they had a street display. It was so great to do one again lol we just get the chance to talk to so many different people. It’s crazy to hear so many different beliefs and opinions all in a matter of a few hours. And one of the elders in our zone is a brand new missionary and it was so funny just to see how nervous he was, and how nervous I used to be. He reminded me a lot of me at the beginning of my mission. Just nervous and quiet and didn’t really talk to many people. So funny. It was great to try and help him out and just have fun with it!

Then yesterday was my first Sunday in the ward. It was pretty weird just cause I had met a few of them before and a few of them just thought I was still serving in Feucht but just in Nürnberg for the day. But this ward is so cool! I couldn’t be more excited to go and work with them. There is such a feeling of love with them it is hard not to be happy around them.  So ya things out here are sweet I’m loving it! We are going to Frankfurt this Friday to do a split with the AP’s so that’ll be sick.  I haven’t spent like anytime in Frankfurt on my mission so I’m just happy to be able to spend a day there.  Life is getting busier and busier and time is just going faster and faster. Wild stuff but I’m loving every second!  I love you all a lot and am so happy we are friends. Thanks for being so nice to me all the time. Have such a great week!
